TikTok Shop charges a referral fee on each order. It covers payment processing, and there is no listing fee or monthly subscription for US sellers. The fee is charged on what the customer pays, minus tax.
The rate has been in flux. TikTok's published category table lists 6% for most categories, while seller reports say the standard rate rose to 8% in August 2026. Check your rate in Seller Center and pick the one that matches above.
Affiliate commission is where costs climb. Sellers set it themselves, and 10% to 20% is common. It applies only when a creator's video or live drives the sale.
