What it does

Import your Etsy orders

Download your orders from Etsy and paste them in. Every sale is matched to your product and worked out, with no typing.

True profit after every fee

Listing, transaction and payment processing fees, regulatory fees, Offsite Ads with the per-order cap, and currency conversion.

A suggested price for every product

Set your profit goal once. Each product shows the price that hits it, and the lowest price before you'd lose money.

Discounts, refunds and ads

Log a coupon, a refund or an Offsite Ads sale and the fees adjust the way Etsy charges them.

Shop expenses

Etsy Ads, Etsy Plus, tools and supplies, grouped by category so nothing is counted twice.

Year-end summary

Your whole year on one page, laid out the way you'll need it at tax time.

Real profit on every product

Type a price and what an item costs you. The Products tab shows what you keep, a Healthy, Thin margin or Losing money label, and a suggested price.

Import your Etsy orders in one paste

Download your orders from Etsy and paste them in. Each item is matched to your product, and shipping, coupons and Etsy's per-order fee are counted once per order. Selling at a craft fair? Type those sales in the Sales Log.

Questions sellers ask

What do I need to use it?

Microsoft Excel, or a free Google account to open it in Google Sheets. It may not work fully in Apple Numbers.

Does it work for sellers outside the US?

Yes. Fee rates for the US, Canada and the UK are built in, including the 20% VAT Etsy adds to its fees for UK sellers who aren't VAT-registered.

Does it connect to my Etsy shop?

It doesn't log in to Etsy. Instead, you download your orders from Etsy (Shop Manager, Settings, Options, Download Data) and paste the file in. It takes about a minute, and you can do it whenever you like.

What if Etsy changes its fees?

Update the rate on the Settings tab and every sheet recalculates. MakerFees also keeps its free calculators up to date.

How many products and orders does it hold?

100 products, 1,000 typed orders, 1,000 imported Etsy items and 500 expenses. Most sellers start a fresh copy each year.

Is it tax advice?

No. The year-end summary organises your numbers for your own records. Check the rules where you live, or ask an accountant.

The examples in these screenshots use made-up sample data. MakerFees is independent and not affiliated with Etsy, Inc.
